Challenge #331 - Spots and Dots

Hello! Gail here to host this week's USE YOUR STUFF challenge to use spots and/or dots.

Here's my card.

Amanda

I used some enamel dots to add some dimension to this layout!

This challenge immediately made me think of Minnie Mouse :)

Alcohol and Yupo paper background with black Nuvo drop spot accents.

I used all polka dot paper for my card and to keep the "spots and dots" theme going, I added in circles as well.

Challenge #330: Friendship

Hello! The challenge this week is to create a project about "Friendship".

Most people may think of humans having friendships, but I chose to do this layout about my daughter's two dogs, Willie and Dolly who are both rescue dogs.  They got Willie a few years ago and when they decided to get another pup, we were all surprised since Willie didn't get along very well with other dogs.  But when they brought Dolly home, he immediately fell in love with his new best friend. They are inseparable.

I focused on a four legged friendship between my daughter and her chihuahua for this project.

Tina
Our friendship with members of an organization we belong, we have met so many through the club and grown to be close friends that we atleast plan a vacation/holiday a year with them.

Majo

An ATC with the lovely stamps from Rubber Moon.

Hey you is one of my favorite phrases to use when calling my friends.  I made a call using that phrase to send to a friend

School is in Highlights!

Thank you to all who participated in our "School is in!" challenge.  As a teacher, had I received any of your projects as a gift or a thank you, I would be humbled.  What gorgeous creations you have made! These three submissions really caught my eye for this challenge.

I'm always looking for fun ways to feature school pictures of my children.  I loved the use of the yellow ruler against the red background paper with the cute paper ribbon accents.

I have a thing for woodland creatures.  Especially owls.  I adored how the front of this project is an owl while the backside can hold a gift card.  What a creative way to give your favorite teacher a gift!

I loved the juxtaposition of this card; the bright, modern colors mixed with the vintage photo.  It reminded me of pictures of my Mother's elementary school classes in the early 1960's.  And let's face it, we've all had those days in school where we've felt like the little girl in the picture.

Once again, all of you who played along with our "School is in!" challenge created amazing paper art.  Thank you to all of our participants for all the back to school inspiration!

Challenge #329 - Animals

Welcome! Amanda here with this week's challenge - animals! We want to see your pets, visits to the zoo, wild animal encounters, etc! Maybe you need a card and have the perfect teddy bear stamp you have been dying to use? We can't wait to see what you come up with!

For mine I used some old photos (2012) of me and our four legged babies. Last November we had to say goodbye to our shepherd cross so we only have our boxer now.

Check out what the rest of the design team came up with!

Heather R

Since I don't really have much in the way of animal photos, I opted to do a LO with a couple of my favorite Disney dogs at Animal Kingdom...

Lori

I created a card using these super sweet little mice - probably the only time I will call mice sweet! You can read more about it on my blog here.

A great card for any occasion. See my blog for 2 other versions.

Challenge #328- School Is In!

Welcome to this week's challenge at Use Your Stuff.  With summer drawing to a close, it's that time of year when parents are singing, "It's the most wonderful time of the year...." while their children sulk.  This can only mean one thing...it's back to school time!

This week we are challenging you to create a project using the theme, "School Is In!" We can't see what back to school inspirations you all create for this challenge.

For this project, I featured a picture of my daughter on her first day of kindergarten and her last first day of school on day one of her senior year this past August.  I might've been crying throughout the creation of this project...

My layout is about our oldest son, Jace who is now a senior in high school.  This photo was taken on his first day of his last year.  So hard to believe he will be graduating next spring.

Amanda

Last year was my son's first experience with school - he was in Kindergarten! It's hard to believe the year has gone by and we are getting ready for grade one already!

Since we are empty nesters with no grandkids, I had a bit of a rough time coming up with a creation for the theme. My teamies came up with the idea of books, and tada, here we are, a book mark stamped with Darkroom Door images ...

I made this fun back to school card for my son's lunchbox tomorrow.  It's his first day of school!
I used some scraps from my desk and then added a sentiment that I printed off of from my fonts and the apple is a freebie from Simple Stories Carpe Diem September digital set.
