Challenge #385: Thankful Project

Welcome to our latest challenge here at Use Your Stuff.  This is Stephanie, and I'm in charge of this week's posting.  With this Thursday being Thanksgiving in the USA, I challenge you all to create a project that features something you are thankful for in your life.  Perhaps it's your family, your friends, a pet, or a favorite place to vacation.  We can't wait to see what our followers are thankful for in their creations.

-For this project, I featured pictures of my daughter surrounded by her best friends after she broke her leg this past fall.  I am so thankful that she has such a great tribe of friends to help her through such a difficult time in her life.

I'm thankful for the fact that I can travel. Having retired with health issues I was concerned about my endurance when travelling but so far no major glitches.
In the layout below we were in Canada at Jasper.

I have so many reasons to be thankful but what came to mind, when completing this project, is my husband.
I'm thankful to be loved by such a good man.

For my project, I was inspired by the colors and the fall foliage i the picture to create this card base.  I stamped the doll and added a background scene featuring fall.

Challenge #382: Use Red, Brown, & Gold on a Project

Hi and welcome to this week's challenge, Tina here today with you and I challenge you to a color challenge : Red, Brown and Gold
I created this fun layout using the colors of the challenge

Lots of browns and golds with a hint of red in the leaves of the background paper as well and the photo of the tree. If you like to see more of this layout you can see it over at my blog

For this project, I featured pictures of my cousin at I at our favorite fall festival this past October.

I used brown and gold inks (looks yellow) on the chipboard monkey plus there's red in the alphas.

Just to make sure you also see the golden shimmer ....

Challenge #381 - Use Scraps

Good Morning everyone!  We hope that you all had a fun weekend, for some of us, the clocks went back an hour and we gained that all important hour of sleep!

But, here we are on Monday and we have a new challenge for you!  Hopefully you did some crafting over the weekend, and your craft table has some bits and bobs on it, as our theme this week is to create a project using some scraps from another project!  Your project could be made entirely from scraps or just some elements.....let's see what you've been creating.  Here is the DT to get you started!

Left over scraps from my craft table.

I used up some of my scraps from my last DT project (the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge) for this layout

Scraps on this layout from previous graduation layouts I made :)

I have a big bin of scraps that sits on my table that I pull from frequently. Everything on this layout except the background is from my pile of scraps.

I made a magic slider card completely from scraps.  I used leftover card stock, leftover card for coloring, and a half used sheet of patterned paper.  Only the transparency sheet was new!

After making 2 layouts today I found enough scraps to make this card.
