Challenge #49 Polka Dots Anyone??

Hi all.  Bronwyn here.  This week my challenge uses the always fashionable, eye-catching polka-dot.  I love this pattern's light-hearted playfulness and in my home I have polka-dishes, polka-towels and polka-furniture.
But today, here at Use Your Stuff, I have some polka-pennants that I created to hang in my classroom to welcome all of my darling students back to class.

So.....what dotty-ness can you come up with this week??

Lynne
Hi everyone.  I love polka dots too.  They are one of my favorite patterns to scrap with.  I took my daughter to school yesterday, and the fun polka dot pattern worked perfectly to showcase the pictures she allowed me to take.
I rarely do a double page layout, so this was my own challenge within the challenge.

Barb
It looks like I'm in good company in the "loving polka dots" department. Like Bronwyn said, they are so fun. I used a couple different polka dot papers on this altered frame of my two darling nephews.

Challenge #48 Summer Inspiration

Hey there, welcome back!

Can you believe that we are almost at the end of August?
I sure can't. I have been spending more time indoors this summer because of our impending move to our new home. I've been thinking about being outside more over these past few weeks as I sit and pack more & more boxes. I used that desire to inspire this weeks challenge.

Your challenge is to let summer inspire you.
Bright colours, time at the cottage, kids playing in the pool or eating a popsicle.....
whatever you love about summer.

I made this brightly coloured outdoor scene on a 10x10 canvas.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how you interpret this weeks inspiration. Happy crafting !!

Barb
Here's my layout for the Summer Inspiration challenge. I love doing summery, beachy layouts, so this challenge was an easy one for me. These photos are actually from a trip we took in March a couple of years ago.

Lynne

My sister in law conveniently posted some new photos on Facebook this week  of my nephew and great nephew playing in the pool.   I knew they would be perfect for this challenge.

The splashpad- is there a more summery place??

#47 - Let's Hear it for the Boys

Do you make masculine projects? Since I only have sons, I'm always making masculine layouts and am aware at how the industy is very female dominated - both from a product standpoint and an idea standpoit.

So ... I need inspiration. I'm challenging you to make a masculine project. Easy peasy.

To get you started, here's a layout I did for my son:

I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with for this challenge.

Don't forget to link up your finished projects with Mr. Linky.

Lynne

I am just the opposite of Barbara.  I have no men living here in my home.  So my layouts usually use more of a feminine color scheme.  However, I have started to do a major clean up around my house, so I captured these photos of the men cleaning out my basement and living room.

How about a masculine card that welcomes a baby boy into the world??

HOT! HOT! HOT! challenge #46

HI everyone.  Lynne here.  I don't know about where you live, but around here it has been overly hot and very humid this summer.  As I always think in colors, when I think "HOT", I imagine playing with hot pink, yellow and orange.  So have a good time with this weeks challenge.  I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Joy

I really liked working with our assigned colour combo and made three very different looking cards.
I used up some scraps on these cards, I love it when leftovers can inspire new projects.
