#411 Mood Board

Christmas Mood Board | Skillshare Projects

It's a mood board challenge this month everyone!  If you have never used a mood board before the idea is to take something from the board above that inspires you and use that to create your project...just off the top of my head, we can see a variety of colors, there's Christmas, Christmas trees, reindeer, buffalo plaid, white on white, lace, wreaths, christmas baubles, bells, bows, candles, lights, presents...what do you see!  Be sure to tells us in your post what parts inspired you...

Let's look at how the DT was inspired!

I made a Christmas card from recycled materials. The white shaped background is packaging, The felt and tulle flower is made from fabric scraps and the old book paper is from a torn up book.
The washi tape ,misted green ferns and sentiment are new.

I had a very old set of Echo Park Winter-themed stickers I never thought I'd used due to a lot of them being snow-related. Recently I came across these old photos of us in actual snow, a rarity living in Southern CA, so I decided to try and use as many of the snow-themed stickers as I could; I used almost all of them! I also used a stamp-set I had in my stash that I had never used before and an old 12x12 PP, also from Echo Park.
I'd say, I successfully "Used my Stuff" w/ this layout!

For my project, I dipped into a stash of Echo Park Christmas paper to feature pictures of my dogs wearing their Christmas sweaters (under protest).  Even though they may not have felt it, they sure did look very festive!

#410 Tic Tac Toe

Hello Everyone!  This week's challenge is a fun Tic Tac Toe board for you to use!  Lots of different items so feel free to choose any line that appeals to you for your project. For an even bigger challenge, try to incorporate the full card!   Just be sure to let us know which line you went with in your post.

Here is what the DT has created for you!

I went down the first line: Circles, Scrapbook Layout, Any Sketch

Here is my layout:

Here is the sketch I chose:

I also chose Circles, Scrapbook layout and sketch!

I used this sketch.

So, it seems great minds think alike as I opted to go right down the left side of the board as well and did a scrapbook layout using a sketch and incorporating circles. My circles however are buttons...

Sketch that I used...

I made a shaker card.

#409 Stripes

Making Stripes with Solid Fabrics in Modern Quilts | Quilting Daily

We are going pattern this week people!  Bring out your STRIPES!

We want you to incorporate stripes somewhere on your project...maybe your paper, an embellishment, maybe it's in a photo for a layout...if you are stripey we want to see it!

Check out these DT projects!

Julene
I've used a wide black and white striped paper for this layout of Niagara Falls.
Add one other colour to get a great effect. (pink in my case)

I added a striped PP that matched my new "Schitt's Creek" Sweatshirt, but then the PP
kinda got buried, LOL!! But you can still see it!
12x12 Traditional Paper Layout

I used paper with diagonal stripes to accent pictures of my daughters when they were little girls carving their Halloween pumpkins.
