Challenge #281 - Old & New

here, it's my turn to hostess this week.
I am challenging you to mix up some old and new stash!
It does not have be newly released, only something
you have most recently added to your stash.
And let's say "old" is something you've had longer than a year.
Here is my project; a page with a photo I have scrapped many times, as my style evolves.  Guess I was feeling nostalgic when I pulled it out,  the baby is my baby who just turned 26!
I have lots of OLD: MME papers, K&Co
 Chipboard, buttons, naked chipboard,
and some NEW: metal flowers, Prima flowers, stencil and paint.

My crafty team-mates have also combined Old and New from their stashes:

Stephanie:
My new favorite paper line is Authentique.  So I used a variety of my newly purchased papers from the "Bountiful" line along with a new leaf tag I bought last weekend.  The old is a picture taken five years ago of my girl.  It's one of my favorites, and the fact that it's in sepia tone gives it that even older feel.

 Majo
I used an old tin can and my new RubberMoon Stamps to create a food container for Emmy. She has to have her food weighed each morning, this way I can fill up the amount of just 50 gram :( for the rest of the day :)
See all sides of our can .on my blog!

Tina
So I have used a very old collection: Three Bugs in a Rug-Playful Caboodle Kit and the new was the bling I added to the layout:

I love this kind of challenge! I do buy new stuff quite frequently. The old stash is of course there, but gets forgotten to be used. Here I used some pictures that I have had for at least 5 years. The background I stamped with a new stamp, I just love that hexagon pattern!
This is my last project for UYS - I feel quite nostalgic already! It has been a great term.

OK your turn! Use Your Stuff up as much as you can!

Jane, we've seen a lot of your perfect coloring, you're a genius at it!

Barbara, I had a black kitten a while ago, unfortunately she's not with us any longer, but I can remember her hiding in odd places :)

Challenge #280 - Pets

I'm the host for our new challenge at the blog!

Challenge #280 is all about pets! A stamp, a photo, a die cut or a sentiment, let`s see animals of the house.

I just recently received my new RubberMoon Stamps and had to try the mischievous cats at once!

I created the background with Distress Ink and water. The sentiment is a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp.

Take a look at all the wonderful creations for your inspiration from my team mates!

I love to see what you come up with!

Gail
Birds can be pets (we had pet birds when I was a kid).

Amy.L
I have used a few different bits and pieces here to document my little Miss Hannahs love for our cat, especially bedtime snuggles. I will also have a process video up on my channel soon for this lovely layout.

For this challenge, I made a mini album of my dog.  The album is made entirely of scraps or items I made from scraps and my silhouette.

Challenge #279: Fall is in the Air

Hello :) Tina here with this week's challenge. Our area has been seeing so many changes with the leaves colors and the cooler air that we can tell Fall is in the Air! So for this week I'm challenging you to use fall colors : Red, Gold and Orange.
I made a Double page layout of the grandkids helping us with decorating last fall. This layout consisted of the faces being marked out on the pumpkins before being carved out:

Head over to my blog for close up shots of the layout.

Now let's see what my DT sisters created for this challenge :)

Stephanie:
When "fall is in the air," I think Halloween.  I love this pic of my niece playing in the leaves with her face painted for trick or treat.

Karrie - we just returned from this lovely place,
where we were joking about "glamping" in the tiny house.
Fall means the start of Cyclocross season for my granddaughter, Emma.  She makes us so proud of her skill and determination.

Challenge #278 - No layouts or cards

Hi everyone! Amanda here with this week's challenge! This week I want you to take a look at your supplies and see what you could create that is NOT a layout or a card. Our scrap supplies are sooooo versatile! They can be used for so many different things! Try using them to alter an item for your scrap space, alter some clothing, make a home decor item....think outside the box!

I chose to use my die cut machines to create these growth chart rulers (may have recruited my husband for the sanding, staining and varnishing part!) to measure our little ones as they grow.

This is what the DT came up with!

Majo

I have created a little matchbox, or rather many of them, to have something at hand for small gifts :)

The background is distress ink with water and a Darkroom Door Stamp, the sentiment is a stamp from Studio 12. I added some washi tape on the sides.

Gail

Stamping and stenciling and colouring, oh my!  I had fun doing up this page in my brand new creative journal.

Heather R.

I made a banner for my youngest son's bedroom door. I figured it was time he had one just like his big brother and big sister :)

Show us your creations!

Many of you had been inspired to make a project for our Back to school, back to work challenge. Thank you all so much for playing along this week. We just love to see the different approaches to the challenges here at Use Your Stuff.  There wereseveral great projects and it was incedibly hard to choose, but here are the three top picks:

Karftykaylin made a stationary box - this is such a cool project, perfectly filled for back to school fun!

Marina made a lovely back-to-school card for her youngest. That little bear is so cute!

and finally Birgit, who made not only one card but several, and some candy boxes to boot, all of them in happy primary colors.

Thank you for participating! Keep your eye peeled on the next challenge that will be revealed tomorrow.
