Challenge #388 - It's Christmas Time!

Happy Monday!! Heather R here and it is my turn to share this week's challenge.  Hard to believe we are less than 10 days away from Christmas!  My kids are counting down.  So it seems only fitting to have a Christmas themed challenge for this week.  I have been meaning to scrap these photos of my 2 oldest that were taken back in 2017 when I surprised them right after Thanksgiving with ugly Christmas sweater shirts...

Check out the rest of the Design Team and then share your projects with us!  Happy Scrapping!

One of my Christmas cards, I'm sending out this year.

I created this Project Life page Insert of a recent outing with friends
(The 4x6 Pocket Card is a Studio Calico that I've had in my stash for 3 years):
There's a non-Christmas-related flipside that you can see on my blog, if you'd like
(just click on my name to take you there!)

Amanda

I've made a lot of Christmas cards this year as usual - I tend to mix up the designs - this is just one of many I have recently completed.

#387: Mint Challenge

Our challenge this time is to use the colour mint.

-For this project, I featured a picture of my daughter who was standing in a mint green light in a gazebo decorated for Christmas.  I thought this would be the perfect subject matter for a project with a mint green theme.

Doreen
I had to deviate from the challenge just a bit.
I dont really have anything "mint" nor did I have any photos to scrap that would fit the "mint" theme so I figured, "mint" is part of the "green" family and created a layout using mostly green.

I went with Mint color paper, hearts and splatters of Sweet Mint color shine on my Christmas Eve Layout

Julene
I used mainly mint with neutral coloured flowers on this holiday photo.

Challenge #386 - Snow

This time of year in Canada we are usually covered in snow! It has been a bit of an odd year so far with more rain than snow this winter for my province. I'm sure that will change soon though and we will have the beautiful white snow covering the ground.

For this week's challenge I want you to be inspired by the crisp white snow and create a project that is mostly white with just a pop of color!

For mine I created this snowflake Christmas card and used a coloured ink to stamp my sentiment. My snowflakes also have a touch of color in the diamond Stickles I used.

Look at what the rest of the Design Team created!

Heather R

Using a lot of white was actually more of a challenge than I expected...maybe because we don't get any snow here in the Sunshine State...LOL

For my project, I was inspired by a snowy scene.  I made a shaker card filled with white "snow" glitter and accented with snowflakes.

                    Julene
I used Kraft as my background then used texture paste through a doiley to create my white background. I added a few random smaller pieces of paper and 2 large metallic elements that look a bit like snowflakes. I also misted in pale blue to match the papers.

White on white Christmas card with a touch of sparkly teal.

Challenge #385: Thankful Project

Welcome to our latest challenge here at Use Your Stuff.  This is Stephanie, and I'm in charge of this week's posting.  With this Thursday being Thanksgiving in the USA, I challenge you all to create a project that features something you are thankful for in your life.  Perhaps it's your family, your friends, a pet, or a favorite place to vacation.  We can't wait to see what our followers are thankful for in their creations.

-For this project, I featured pictures of my daughter surrounded by her best friends after she broke her leg this past fall.  I am so thankful that she has such a great tribe of friends to help her through such a difficult time in her life.

I'm thankful for the fact that I can travel. Having retired with health issues I was concerned about my endurance when travelling but so far no major glitches.
In the layout below we were in Canada at Jasper.

I have so many reasons to be thankful but what came to mind, when completing this project, is my husband.
I'm thankful to be loved by such a good man.

Challenge #381 - Use Scraps

Good Morning everyone!  We hope that you all had a fun weekend, for some of us, the clocks went back an hour and we gained that all important hour of sleep!

But, here we are on Monday and we have a new challenge for you!  Hopefully you did some crafting over the weekend, and your craft table has some bits and bobs on it, as our theme this week is to create a project using some scraps from another project!  Your project could be made entirely from scraps or just some elements.....let's see what you've been creating.  Here is the DT to get you started!

Gail

Left over scraps from my craft table.

I used up some of my scraps from my last DT project (the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge) for this layout

Scraps on this layout from previous graduation layouts I made :)

Amanda

I have a big bin of scraps that sits on my table that I pull from frequently. Everything on this layout except the background is from my pile of scraps.

I made a magic slider card completely from scraps.  I used leftover card stock, leftover card for coloring, and a half used sheet of patterned paper.  Only the transparency sheet was new!

After making 2 layouts today I found enough scraps to make this card.

Challenge #380: Fall project with 3 leaves

HI Karrie here, and even though it's very sad summer is ending I am enjoying the beautiful fall views of coloured leaves everywhere in my area. That's the inspiration for this

"Fall project using at least 3 leaves" challenge!

So it's up to you if you Use Your Stuff with different media, different leaves, or different colours, as long as you have at least 3 varying.
My grandkids helped make this welcome sign for Thanksgiving, and we put fall items and different leaf stickers on it, and afterwards they carved these pumpkins.

The other team members are inspired also!

I used a variety of leaves on this project of my daughter posing with her best friend and her best friend's dog for Homecoming pictures on a gorgeous fall day.

Julene
I used 3 wooden maple leaves on this layout about my travels.

Tina
I used maple leaf paper clips on my layout

Majo

I created an ATC using 3 diffrent leaves from Stampin' UP:

How about you, inspired?

Please add your project with 3 different leaves to the inlinkz
