Challenge 120 - Wedding

Hello everyone.  Lynne here.  This weeks' challenge is inspired by my daughter's upcoming May wedding.
This layout was one done for my son & daughter-in-laws wedding album.
I look forward to seeing what you all come up with.

Amanda

Weddings and babies are my two favorite subjects to scrap! I am working on an album of my friend's wedding from May of 2010. They had a beautiful setting for their photos, making them really easy to work with!

Julie
I had the pleasure of making a card set for a couple celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary
recently. I made it large as I was not sure how many people were going to be signing it.
It delighted me that I received a happy message saying how delighted they were with my creation.

I don't have any wedding photos to scrapbook, so I made a wedding card : the sentiment reads "Love & happiness". Actually, I don't have any wedding party scheduled either, so I will offer this card to my husband for the Valentine's Day !

Highlights - Challenge #119

Thanks to everyone for participating this week. I loved seeing all those lovely bright colours. It brightened up my day. Highlights for this week include:

I love the turquoise and pink in this layout, and that flower is just gorgeous!!!

This is the cutest snail! I love the bright colours and the dimension on the snail's shell.

What a unique idea!! There's definitely lots of colour here.

I really like the big blocks of colour above the photo. It adds a gorgeous pop of colour!

Thanks to everyone for participating. We had some really great submissions this week.

Challenge #119 - Lots of Colour

It's very grey and dreary right now in Southern Ontario (and many other parts of the world!) so I thought a good challenge for this week would be to do a project with lots of colour. Any colour will do, just lots of it!

Milena
This is a page that I completed some time ago but was missing photos and embellishments. I dove into my stash finished it off. I really needed to work with bright colours and photos full of fun and sunshine.

My made over Art Pouch is going to make me happy every time I go to use it.
Luscious colour and arty affirmations.
There is a tutorial over on my Blog on how to get this look.
I was certainly in new territory with this!

Isbaha
I decided to try something unexpected and I colored... my black and white photos.
I played with Photoshop to get this look, and I think it helps to tell the story :  this layout is about my son who only said "gue gue" when he was a baby, so we used to say that he was our little alien... He also loved to hid in any box, even the tiniest ones, so sometimes, he looked like an alien in his flying saucer !
The titles reads "This little boy comes from another planet".

Barb

I love working with colour. It really makes me happy! I especially love putting colour against a white background. It really makes everything pop.

What will you do to add  little colour to your life this week?

#118 - Sketch Challenge Highlight

Thanks to all who participated this last week. We had some wonderful projects submitted.

I chose this great layout by Sylvia to highlight. I love the softness of this and how she mimicked the banners in the top left corner.

Way to go, Sylvia. You really made this sketch your own. Don't forget to grab your badge from the side bar to display on your blog.

#118 - Sketch Challenge

Welcome to a brand new week here on the Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog. We hope that you're finding time in this brand new year to get some projects done.

This week we have a sketch challenge for you. It doesn't get much easier than this. Look at the sketch and see how it inspires your next project.

Here's the sketch:

Here's what I did with the sketch:

Now let's see what other Creative Team Members were inspired to create based on the sketch:

Lynne
Sketch Challenges have always been my favorite.  I used the sketch as an inspiration.  If you look closely you can see how it inspired me, but I do't think it really looks like the sketch at all.  Have a fun time with this.  I look forward to seeing what everyone does.

Milena
I love, love, love sketches. I copied this one almost exactly and I love how it turned out.

Amanda
Sketches are one of my favorite sources of scrapping inspiration! I followed this one pretty closely!

Sketches are a great jump-start and this one was perfetc for my three photos. The title reads "Young artist" and yes, my 2 years old kid decided to taste the paint !

We hope you're able to find time to play along this week. If you do, be sure to link back here with your finished project, and don't forget to leave a link on your blog to the Use Your Stuff blog.

Challenge #117 Highlights

Wow!  Thank you to everyone who played along in our New Beginnings challenge last week.  What a great bunch of entries.  Here are a few highlights of some of the entries.

The coloring and layers in this card  from Mirella were just fabulous

This creative baby pack from Marjo shows just how creative one can be with limited $$ but lots of creative imagination

This card from Stargroves was great in that it mixed digital and paper.  That photo of the baby was just so striking with those butterflies.

Congratulations to you ladies.  Don't forget to grab you blog badge

I hope you will all join us tomorrow for another great challenge.

I'm very happy to be bringing you the first challenge of the New Year......of course, New Year, NEW BEGINNINGS!  That is our theme this week.  It could be a new baby, a new wedding, new home or a new you..the possibilities are endless.

Here are some New Beginnings that our DT are wanting to share with you....

Isbaha
For this new year, I decided to be or-ga-ni-zed !
So I made a organizer, a notebook and a memo pad.

Milena
I like to start the year off with a fresh album but what I alway neglect to do is a cover page. I have so many albums without cover pages but not this year. Here is my cover page for my 2014 family album. I found the quote here and it really spoke to me.

I realized that I didn't have a lot of wedding cards in my stash so I thought it was time to get on some.
There are always weddings popping up, especially in the summer!

Julie
Our Home - Transformed!
