#427 Summer Fun

Hey everyone!  Welcome to this week's challenge where it is all about the summer!  Our theme is summer fun!  This can be interpreted however you want...anything that shouts summer to you!  Maybe it's a summery place, a favorite event or just anything that says summer like water, bathing suits ...whatever you want!  This is a great challenge to play along with and we can't wait to see what you all post for us to see!

The DT has some great projects to get you started!

Gail

Summer fun is looking for seashells on the beach.

Summer Fun going on vacation !!

Summer always makes me think of the sea and boats - memories from childhood holidays spent in Cornwall and living by the coast too.

#425 Game Night Highlights

Hello one and all.  Looks like our game night challenge was not a popular one!  That's quite ok.  We can't hit it out of the park everytime.  We do appreciate those of you that were able to challenge yourself and play along.  Awesome job!

Alice, this vintage skinny card is amazing!  I love the collage!  You did such a great job on this!

Niki, you did a stunning job on this shaker and that dimension is so fantastic!

Thanks for playing along with this one, and don't forget to pick up your badge from the sidebar!  Hope you play along with our next challenge as well.!

#426: Black & White with a Pop of Color

Hey everyone! Today's challenge is a fun one!  This go round we are looking for black & white with a pop of color.  This is one of my favorite color combos and I hope that you will like it too and we can't wait to see what this inspires you to create!  Here's the DT projects and you can see that this fits in, not just with small canvases like cards or ATC's but also big ones like layouts as well.

Stephanie:

For this project, I featured a pic my daughter took of our German Shepherd with an orange filter applied over his sunglasses.  I thought he would be the perfect subject matter for a black and white themed project.

Julene

I used a background paper on my card which was mainly black and white but there was a touch of pink in one corner. I used that as my start and added a pink and white ribbon. My other embellishments were black and white.

Helen

I have made a spotlight card using some Stampin' Up black and white patterned paper as my base.  I die cut a circle from the paper, coloured in the butterflies on the circle using Promarkers and then put this back on the paper with a black mat underneath.
