Challenge #305 - Travel

Hi everyone! It's Amanda with this week's challenge!
This week's focus is travel. Highlight travel on your project somehow
whether it is the project itself or some embellishments.

For mine I did a layout of some lighthouse photos from our trip to the Maritimes in 2012.

Take a look at what the rest of the design team came up with!

Gail

A couple of cards with a travel motif.

Lori

I have created a travel-themed card that I think might be a fun - and different - take on a graduation card.

Renee

For this challenge, I created a cruise booklet for a friend.  For more information and more pictures, please click on my name to go to my blog.

Thanks for stopping by this week!

UYS #304 On the Border

Your assignment this week should you choose to accept is:

On the Border - Use Border Punches (or decorative scissors) on your project!!

I started with a  Becky Fleck Sketch and placed the middle layer with
a series of border punched papers!
(punches by Fiskars and Martha Stewart)

The other UYS team members used some stuff too!

I used a Fiskars border punch on my layout.

Tina
I used the zigzag embossed border punch from Martha Stewart on my leaves strip along the bottom of the layout:

I used a Creative Memories wave cutter to make the "water" at the bottom of my beach page.

Amanda
I used the Creative Memories border punch system to create the scalloped borders on the left.

Do you have punches or a machine or even some ol' deco scissors?
Enter at the inlinkz below!

Challenge #303 - Die cuts

Hello, everyone! Are you ready for a new challenge? It's Lori here bringing you this week's challenge. This week we want to see you use die cuts on your projects. You can use die cuts that you cut out yourself or pre-made die cuts like the ones you find in an ephemera pack.

Here is a look at what the design team has created:

I have used a word die from Carta Bella and a butterfly die from Jen Hadfield.

I used some Sizzix dies on this card.

Using up my stash and working through more Disney photos :)

Amanda

I used a Silhouette cut file to create this page!

Renee

Thanks so much for stopping by today! We can't wait to see what you create this week!

*ANYTHING GOES*

Hi Peeps,

Majo here, it's my turn today to challenge you today with an easy peasy theme:

*ANYTHING GOES*

I have decided to create a tag with the Banksy Marionette Girl from Viva Las VegaStamps.

I stamped the image on a panel and the bottom part on another. I cut the girl and applied distress ink and Black Archival on the edges. After stamping the sentiment also also inked the edges and adhered it with pop dots.

I glued the panel to a tag and added some lace and a little wooden heart.

Please join our challenge and look at the following beautiful creation my teammates have come up with!

Happy Crafting ♥

Chris C.

I created this layout from Shimelle's Clear the Desk Class #clearthescrapdesk.

I've made a mini album of our recent trip to Cuba! (more on my blog)

My daughter's soccer coach took this picture as the sun was starting to rise before the girls had a penalty kick shoot out to determine the winner of a tournament game.  This is one of my favorite pictures taken during my daughter's soccer career, and I thought it would be the perfect subject matter for an "Anything Goes" challenge.

Amanda

A dear friend of our family has a birthday coming up this week so I made her this card. We've just had a big snowfall so hopefully this makes her think of spring!

HIGHLIGHTS - Challenge 301 - At the Movies

I'm a big fan of the movies and was excited to see what kinds of projects you talented crafters would come up with for this challenge.  And I wasn't disappointed!

I love them all but my top three picks are (in no particular order) are:

Marina gave us this beautiful card that brought to mind the movie "Titanic".  I love the vintage feel with its black/white/red colour scheme.

I love to SHOP and totally adored this card by Hazel that brings to mind the fun movie (and book), "Confessions of a Shopaholic".

This is a totally gorgeous outer space background that Viv created to represent "2001 - A Space Odyssey"

Thanks to ALL who played along with us at USE YOUR STUFF.
