#440 Embossing

 Welcome to our newest challenge everyone!  Our theme for you is Embossing!  This can be either heat or dry embossing, whichever you choose!

Helen here with my embossed card - I used an embossing folder to create and alternative background to using patterned paper.

I used both heat and dry embossing on this card.

I used my embossing plate to add some texture to my red rectangle.

I used embossed cardstock on my layout.  The colors were perfect with the patterned paper that I used and I love the added texture and interest the embossing gives the layout overall.

For the challenge, I used a heat embossed background stamp to create a textured gold background.

Meet the New Design Team Members

 Well, you have seen some of their work already, but let us introduce you to our new DT members!

First up is Haven!

I love playing along with the challenges and getting inspiration from my fellow design team members.  I think Use Your Stuff is a perfect fit for me right now as I work through my stash.  Every year I tell myself I'm only going to buy adhesives for the year as I have enough stash to last a while, but then I see something amazing that I have to have. I'm a former UYS DT ( 2016).  This year one of my #2022 goals is to scrap for at least 15minutes a day and write a blog post at least once a week. I also lean on sketches to speed the scrap process as I'm never at a loss of subject material with four children and the natural beauty that surrounds me here in Oregon.

Next let's meet Deanne!  A Fellow Canuck!

My name is Deanne Clarke-Saunders. My hubby and I live in Paradise,
Newfoundland Canada. I was an elementary teacher for 23 years but retired early. I am now an Early Childhood Educator (couldn’t stay away from the kiddies!!). I have always enjoyed playing with paper, scissors, glue, and ESPECIALLY crayons and pencil crayons, ever since I’ve been a small child. I just couldn’t stop playing, so I continued by scrapbooking and card-making!

I'm Claudia and I turned 46 in July. I'm living in Belgium. I'm married for the past 18 years with Wim and we have 2 childeren. Jarno is our son and he is 19 and Joran our daughter is 15. I work 4days a week as administrative assistant.

#439 Inspired by Disney

 

Hello everyone! Welcome to this week's challenge.  Our theme this go round is to be inspired by Disney! 

Maybe it's an actual trip to the Magic Kingdom that you did.  Is there a Disney song that you love ?  What about a character?  Is it just those Disney colors that make your creative juices flow?  We want to see what you've got and be sure to let us know how you were inspired!
