USE YOUR STUFF Challenge #301 - At the movies

Gail here!  How about a project that is inspired by the movies and/or an actor/actress.

My three cards (done with the same stamp set) could represent three different movies:

The Jazz Singer (1927) - the very first talkie
All That Jazz (1979) - Bob Fosse's life story
Chicago (2002) - includes the song "All that Jazz"

To see the cards individually, go to my blog here.

Amanda

I created this layout inspired by the Lego movie!

Heather R

Amy.L

Challenge #300-Twinkle Twinkle

Good Morning and welcome to challenge #300 here at Use Your Stuff blog. I'm your hostess today for this challenge of Twinkle Twinkle - Use something sparkly on your project.
I used stickles to add some sparkle to my layout, using some night paper makes it really match up well with The Twinkle, Twinkle of the challenge:
to see more of my layout you can go over to my blog
Lets check out what my DT sisters did for this challenge:

Have a closer look at the little "Twinkle" on my blog, I'd love to see you ♥

Chris
I used Shimelle Glitter Girl words and accents and Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine for my layout about Pink singing the National Anthem at the 2018 Super Bowl which my beloved Philadelphia Eagles won!

Fun!  So here is my take.  My dark coral (DCWV) cardstock is sparkly, along with the
arrow die cuts and heart.  Also added some pretty Pearls (Kaisercraft)

For this project, I decided to use sparkly snowflakes to highlight pictures of my daughter at her first figure skating competition.

I used the sparkly Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP), sparkly Gold Glitter Flakes for inside the “shaker” card and sparkly Love Mini Tinsel Trim!

Amanda
My mission this year is to make a minimum of 5 Christmas cards each month to hopefully allow me to not feel rushed when Christmas actually arrives! I used some sequins for some sparkle!

Challenge #299 HIGHLIGHTS

Wow this week there were a number of entries into the challenge, and they were all so amazing and creative. I did notice all the different card entries and they were all so beautifully created. Thank you to all of you that entered this challenge, it was tricky picking a few to highlight here.

These little 'love bugs' were cleverly created by Sue Kment. These are so adorable and really well done.

Next up is this beautiful card created by Twisted Witch. Despite what seemed to be a few bumps in the creation of this, your card turned out beautifully and I loved the clear look to it.
CCM #205 Love

And who couldn't resist a card showing the city of love - Paris. Jose's card here is just so cute and well designed, with the pops of red contrasting well with the black and white.

Last but not least, this very creative card created by Scrappin with Chriss. Love the open flap type design to it, definitely adds something a little different.

Again all the entries this week were so amazing and very creative and unique. Thank you again for joining us here at Use Your Stuff.

Happy Creating
Amy.

HIGHLIGHTS #296 TAG! YOU'RE IT! CHALLENGE

Thank you to all who participated in Use Your Stuff's "Tag!  You're it!" challenge.  Sorry it has taken a few weeks for me to post.  Life....Need I say more!  Below are a few of the tags that caught my eye, and I wanted to feature in my highlights post.

Maybe it's because I have two daughters?  Or perhaps the fact I worked in a card shop for five years and every congratulation card seemed to say the same thing....I absolutely LOVED this tag!  Beautiful use of colors and perfect for the new Mom who wants to scrap and does not have the time.  This tag made my heart happy!  What a great way to add some oomph to a baby shower present and to help a Mama out who wants to document her baby's first year.

I love Christmas.  The snowflakes, the holly paper, the beautiful ribbon...This tag is absolutely gorgeous.  Whoever receives a gift with this tag on it is surely going to feel special!

Everything about these tags made me smile.  The colors, the ribbons, the treats that are attached to them.  Winter can be tough.  Can you imagine the joy Georgiana will be spreading delivering this hand made gift?  What a wonderful project!

Once again, thank you to all who entered this challenge.  Tags simply are a great way to let those creative juices flow when you don't have a whole lot of time or have scraps you want to use.  The inspiration from each and everyone of you was contagious!  I'm off to my scrap room now!

Hugs,

Challenge #299 - Love is all around

With Valentines day around the corner, it seemed fitting that this weeks challenge is all about the love. I have created a 12x12 mixed media layout documenting a big moment for love here is Australia late last year, where the government here legalised same- sex marriage. I wanted to document this in our family album for my kids to look back on this moment. On my channel this week will be the process video that goes with this.
So what love is around you? Show us with your cards, layouts, OTP or whatever your crafty poison is.
Cheers
Amy. L

A card for a very special couple celebrating 50 years of marriage. Now that's LOVE!

Amanda

A Valentine for one of my kids!

Heather R

I opted to go a different route for this challenge and so my layout is documenting how excited we were to get our first Starbucks lattes when they opened at the Magic Kingdom.

Lori

I have created a Valentine for someone special!

#298 - Weather

Hi everyone! Welcome to my first challenge of the new year!  This week, I would love to see weather on your projects -C The design team has some great pieces to share with you to get the mojo flowing and we can't wait to see what you come up with!  Don't forget to link down below.

--Tammy

Here is my project for this week.  I used a Kraftin Kimmie stamp called Look for Rainbows!  I colored with my Copics and used some DP from LYB called The Escape.  I added a little dimension by cutting out some of the clouds and popping them up with dimensionals.

I have decided to make a small canvas as a wall hanging. I think I already know who is going to get it :)

I applied Gesso with a stencil, when it was dry I inked it up with distress ink in three different colours. I stamped my image on tissue paper and adhered it with napkin varnish.

Some hemp cord and a little wooden heart finished my project!

I have chosen to display snowfall that we get in my area in Northern Ontario.  Blankets of snow that cover everything... annoying as it is to shovel, drive in and bundle up for, it is quite pretty.

Stephanie
For this project, I featured a picture I took while on vacation last summer of a water spout that formed over the Gulf of Mexico.

My weather has been cold but not much snow.  However, I did manage to get this photo of the front of our house with a little snow.
Amanda

We have been getting a lot of snow here and that was the inspiration to make some more Christmas cards. This one I did after I came in from shovelling!
