Challenge #32 Sketch Inspiration

Hello dearies,

It's time for another challenge and this week we are having a sketch challenge.

Today's sketch inspiration was created by Donna Jannuzzi
This sketch has so many possibilities I can't wait to see what you create with it.
I think card makers will be able to have fun with this one also.

I stuck pretty close to this weeks sketch inspiration.....

What did you make this week Barb, Lynne and Bronwyn?

Lynne

Well I didn't follow the sketch very much, but I did get a lot of inspiration from it.  I turned it on its side, took the two strips of photos and separated them and  used the side piece where the 'title' belonged, I decide to use a big embellishment.  The layout was inspired form a challenge on another baord where I had to spend a day with "Stella".  She came in the mail with some different clothes.  I hope you like the way it came out as much as I do.

Bronwyn

Not a lot of time on my hands this week, so I turned this 12 x12 layout sketch into a pint-sized card.

I reflected the grid of photos in my quilt-like section of patterned paper, and used the circle motif for my sentiment.

Barb
I'm very late to the party this week. I've had a busy couple of weeks and then I took on a re-organization project in my scrapbook room that kept me otherwise occupied this week.
Thanks for the challenge Joy! I alway love working with a good sketch.

For this project I dug deep into my old stash. I used some old alphabet rubons, some old flowers, some old paper, and some Basically Bare Embellishements that I've been intimidated by for a while.

Go Big or Go Home

This week's challenge is all about size. We want to see big.
Use a large photo or embellishment to dominate your project.

I decided to use a large photo.

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for this challenge. Don't forget to come back here and link your project up with Mr. Linky below.

Let's see what the other Creative Team came up with for this challenge.

Joy

I love this photo! all that colour. I made it big and added a title, I really did not
want to add much to this layout.

Bronwyn

I didn't use a big photo (I had lots of 4x6s I wanted to use!) so I went with a large embellishment instead.  I can almost feel that hot. Florida sun.....

Lynne
I too decided to use a large photo.   I loved this photo of my daughters form a couple of years ago.  I actually got my youngest to smile.  That alone, deserves the large photo treatment.

Colour Challenge - Project Spotlight

I always love seeing what everyone does with the challenges and how they look so different. I love these four projects that were created for the colour challenge. Check them out, and check out their blogs as well. There's lots of inspiration there!

#30 April Color Challenge

This month I have been inspired by how April always looks so bare around here in New England with just a hint of Spring popping through. So my color challenge for you this month is to use Brown, Green and Peach. I added the color peach because any shade of orange I consider my favorite color. I hope you enjoy this weeks challenge. I can't wait to see how everyone handles these colors.
Please use Mr. Linky and show us.
Joy

Barb
These colours make me think of outdoors so that's what I went with.

Bronwyn
This was hard colour combo for me so I cheated a bit and added in some blue!

Did You Bring the TICKETS??

Hi All. Bronwyn here. Sorry about the delay in posting, but this long weekend has totally thrown me off! So here I am on Tuesday doing MONDAY'S new challenge!!

This week I challenge all of you to use "tickets" on your creation. Interpret it however you want - just get started!!
Here is my layout using ticket-covered paper and ticket-shaped clear-stamp from Imaginisce.

Barb
I was able to dig deep into my stash and use up some older maya road sheer tickets for this one. I backed the tickets on red so that they would show up and match the paper used on the layout. Unfortunatley it didn't photograph very well. I will try again later and update my photo.

Lynne
Sorry it took me so long to add my layout. I found these cool tickets on a piece of patterned paper and thought it would highlight these photos fro a trip to a corn maze back in 2006. I guess it was about time I scrapped them, don't you think?

Ad Inspiration - project spotlight

Hey everyone. How did you enjoy that ad? I hope it was inspiring for you.

We had two participants so I'm going to highlight both of them here.

The first one is from Ciska. I love how she took the ad and made it into a gorgeous card:

The second one is from An who also used the ad to inspire her in making this gorgeous card:

Thanks for playing along girls!

Challenge #28 Polaroids

So for my lateness my crafty friends, My computer decided it didn't want to go online today. My hubby fixed it all up so now we can get to our new challenge.

I love the look of polaroids and wish I still had film for my Polaroid 660 camera. CHA winter happened a few months ago and I saw several manufacturers using the classic frame on their new papers and embellishments. This week I want to see you go a little retro and show us your creative ways to use a polaroid frame.

Bronwyn

Here's my use of "polaroids."
I took some smaller photos and matted them on plain white card with that off-centre look of a polaroid picture. In between I used patterned paper cut to a similar size to fill the gaps between my photos.

Barb
What a fun challenge this was! As soon as I found out what it was I knew I had the perfect pictures for it. Thanks Joy!

Lynne
I used Picasa to make my 'poloroid' pictures. I decided to use photo corners to add 'authenticity' to the look, found a sketch that I liked and the rest you can see for yourself.
This was a cool challenge. I can't wait to see how others approach it.
