Challenge #261 - Circles

Hello Everyone - Chris C. here with your challenge this week. I can't believe this is the last week of April.

For this week's challenge, I would like to see some circles (at least one) on  your project.  There are so many options for creating circles - hand drawn, stitched, punched, die cuts, or cut files to name a few. I've used a cut file from Paper Issues and backed each circle with a piece of patterned paper from the Fancy Pants Joy Parade 6x6 paper pad. I look forward to seeing the cards/layouts/projects you create this week using circles.

Gail

I,  too, used a cut file on my layout and backed it with papers from a 6x6 paper pad by Pink Paislee - Oh My Heart.

Amy
I created this layout using a Kaisercraft bubble mini stencil to create the background, then using my fiskars cirle punch and my diamond press dies to cut out various circle shapes. The circles create a fun and slightly wacky theme, perfect for documenting Willy Wonka.

got some dot-print paper, circle stencils and stamps, brads

-When I think circles, I think soccer!

Alice K.

My circles are layered on the background. Hop over to my blog to learn how I made the backgrounds.

I used pieces of the April 2017 Paper Pumpkin to make my "circle" card.

Amanda

I used some die cut circles to highlight the cow on this birthday card for my father in law.
He has just recently purchased some livestock!

I used some stickers that are circles for embellishing on my layout in various clusters

Challenge #260 - Eyelets and Brads

Hey guys!  Heather R here with this week's challenge.  I don't know about any of you, but I have SO many eyelets and brads in my stash and so I thought it would be fun to try and use some of them up.  And not just one or two here an there, but I would really love to see you guys use eyelets or brads or both to make a shape on your layout.  Maybe a heart or a circle around your title or word in your journaling, or a fun way to frame a photo.

On my Minnie Mouse layout below I framed the Minnie & Me title with red brads. I think I used almost 50 of them...and I still have plenty to spare!  I have a couple other layouts on my blog to share as well...one using eyelets and embroidery floss, and the other using eyelet brads.

Hope to see some of you using up your stash too!

I used twenty eyelets on my lace-up style card.

Amanda

I used 12 brads on my layout to make parentheses around my title.

I used 54 brads to make the circle on my layout.

Tina

I used Eyelets to create the circles on my layout

Amy
There are little white brads through out the pages

UYS # 259 - Flowers

Hi Everyone!  Beth here with this week's challenge - FLOWERS.  I was looking through my large collection of stamp sets and noticed the vast majority have flowers in the set.  I love flowers in my yard, flowers on my counter and flowers on my cards.  Hope you like flowers too.  I can't wait to see what you make this week!  I made a 50th anniversary card for my sweet neighbors.

                                                                              Beth

Perfect for a flower collage on a feminine page.

There are so many possibilities for this challenge. I used lots of different flowers - rub-on flowers, die-cut flowers, tiny planner paper flowers and even some of the sequins are little flowers. You can see close-ups of my flowers on my blog here

I created this using what was left of a Pink Paislee Moonstruck kit I got at Crop & Create a couple of weeks ago. At first, I didn't care for the colors but it has definitely grown on me!

For this fun challenge I used flowers both in word and in picture.

For this flower challenge I have used flowers in a few different ways; patterned paper, stamps, wood veneer and even the photo. I will have a full layout share over on my blog, as well as a process video up on my you tube channel.

For this challenge, I decided to use one of my favorite pictures of my daughter posing in my Mother-in-Law's daisies as the subject matter since the theme is "Spring."  I used a sketch from my scrapbooking friend Bev Code at Sketches in Thyme to pull this project together.

Flower challenge I did a photo I came across recently in my craftroom of planting some flowers in 2015

Guest DT Lyne

My name is Lyne Blodgett from Lynn's Everyday Ideas.  I'm a wife, mother, accountant and paper hoarder.  I've been scrapbooking for over 15 years, but only got interested in new techniques and perfecting my craft in the last five years or so.  I have dabbled in cards, but my real love is scrapbook pages and mini albums.  Despite my desire to learn I still stay true to my style..which I would call a step above clean and simple.

Our Guest Designer Lyne created these awesome cards for this challenge! Now she actually made 8 cards with one sheet and 2pcs of cardstock!   You can check out more of her work here on her blog!   You will be seeing more of Lyne next month when she joins us for our May challenges as well!  Welcome Lyne! Don't forget to check out her youtube channel as well!

Challenge #258 - Polaroids

Happy April everyone, Gail here.  This week I'm asking you to use a polaroid frame(s) on your project.

Here's a card that I made.  I made the polaroid frame into a shaker card.  For more details, check out my blog.

Hello, Kris here to share my contribution for this week's challenge - this was a fun one! I loved cracking out my dies to make some polaroid embellishments! Feel free to check out my blog: BLOG

Amanda
I used a die cut polaroid to make one of my photos stand out on this layout!

For my card I fussy cut a couple of polaroid frames from a piece of patterned paper to act as my sentiment.

I used my Cameo to cut out a polaroid frame to highlight the picture of my hubby and I on this layout from our cruise back in 2008.

I used cut-apart Polaroids on my layout

I used a polaroid cut file to create a frame for my card, which is made entirely from leftover embellishments from various embellishment packages!
