Challenge #39 - Project Picks

Hey everyone. It's so great to see so many participating in last week's challenge. At this time, there were 21 participants. I wish we had the space to showcase each project, but we don't. However, we're going to showcase three amazing projects.

The first one is a card by Scrappymo. She made this gorgeous card where she used a coffee cup sleeve that she inked for the background. The layering and texture on the card is beautiful.

The second project pick is by a card by Sherri Willshire. I love those gorgeous hand-made flowers.

The third project pick is a layout by Sassy Scrapper. She has lots of hand-made embellishments on this adorable layout.

Thanks to all who particpated last week. It is so inspiring to see everyone's work.

Challenge #40- Sew Many Possibilities

Hello again all you crafty people,

I love the look that stitching can add to a project so this week I'm challenging you to add some stitching to your projects. Hand sewn or machine stitched give it a home made look this week.
Hey even if you have some pre-stitched papers why not use up some of that special paper special paper as I did this week.
Happy crafting!!

I've had this pre-stitched layout for over a year!
I cut a title with my Silhouette and added a few embellishments.
I'm so happy I used this paper and now I finally have a layout about our home.

Barb
I love the look of stitching on projects. I don't do it often enough though. I really need to do it more often. On this layout I just stitched around the white paper, but it goes a long way to setting it off.

Lynne
I too, rarely stitch on my layouts.  It is just a little time consuming for me and I take long enough to do a layout already.  So, I usually faux stitch with my pen when I want that look.    But I used to embroider, so I know a whole lot of fancy stitches.  This older layout of my oldest daughter used a lot of french knots for an embellishment.
We can't wait to see your creations

Here's a darling little card I made a friend who could deliver a boy- any day now!

#39 - Make it by Hand

Happy Monday everyone. If you're like me, with the arrival of the good weather I find my creative time dwindles as there is a lot of other things that occupy my attention. However, I also find a good challenge can spur me on to keep creative. I hope this challenge is able to do that for you.

This week I'm challenging you to use some hand-made elements on your project.
On this project, I made a flower to embellish my layout.

I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with for this challenge. Don't forget to come back here and share a link to your finished project. We'd love to see it.

Joy
I chose to make a flower for this weeks challenge also.
I love to use glubers for making rolled fabric flowers.

Lynne
Flowers must be the embellishment of choice, because I used them too.

Bronwyn
I'm here, too, and  I brought flowers, as well!  Mine is crocheted and centred with a brad.  I also thought this eyelet ribbon shouted " homemade", too, because my mother used to add it to the little dresses she made for my sisters and I growing up.

#38 4 or More

Hi there everyone!   Bronwyn here. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  I am in charge of creating this week's challenge and here it is:

Make a 1-paged layout with 4 or more photos on it.

That't lots of pictures for a small layout space. Can you do it??

I managed to squeeze in SIX photos using a sketch from  Sketch Support.

Lynne
Hi everyone.  I used just 4 photos, but I did an 8.5 x 11 layout with them.  They are standard size wallet photos and they fit perfectly on the small layout size.  I used a sketch from Page Maps.

Joy

I went digi this week!
I love the digital products by sahlin studio which I used for this layout.
I layered up some washi tape, papers and a few embellishments.
The little walking icon & starburst circle are shapes found in photoshop elements.

Barb
multi-photo layouts are my thing - whether it's a single or a double. I love doing them.

Challenge #37 Long Title

Happy June everyone.
This month, I am deviating a little from my monthly color challenge.  I have noticed that most use as few words as they can for a title on their layouts or cards.  So I will challenge you all to use a long title, quote or a line from your favorite song as a title on your layout or card instead.  Pull out those alpha stickers, stamps or die cut machines and have a fun.

I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Barb here. I love how Lynne did her layout. It's so cool how you can have a long title without it dominating your layout or project. Here's mine (although I cheated a little in that it was a store-bough title.)

Bronwyn
I think this may the longest title I have EVER put on a scrapbook page!  And if you have ever been to Disney world, you know it's true!!
