Challenge Highlights #211 Black & White

Hello

Thank you so much to everyone who played along with my Black & White challenge this week.  Whilst we didn't get a lot of entries I absolutely loved all the ones we did get.  I both love and loathe this time of the week as I always want to choose you all as every entry is so different, so individual and so unique and that is what it is all about really.  So no more stalling... this week I have selected the following three stunning creations to be highlighted.  In no particular order -

Your striking, multi fold card complete with those cute butterlies just made me want more!

Being very much both a dog and cat lover this one appealed to me a lot! Such a simplistic idea and it totally rocks!  This is such a wonderful gift idea and so pleasing to the eye not to mention "striking" in every sense of the word!

and last but by no means least is

Making a sympathy card is never easy.  Finding that right balance is hard but Kathy has created a simply stunning card below!

Thank you again to everyone who joined in our challenge please keep the entries coming as we all love seeing them so much.

Til net time

Hugs

Shirley

#210 - Use an Embossing Folder

Hi, it's Majo here from the design team and I'd like to show you two of my Easter cards using an embossing folder as a background.

It's always so easy to add texture without using patterned paper, the embossing technique does it all for you :)

This is what our talented team came up with:

Martha Lucia -  I used my embossing folder to stamp! Yes. I inked the raised side of my embossing folder with VersaFine Ink, put my paper inside of the folder and pass through the big shot and voila, I have a new image with embossing details that I colored with color pencils.

Amanda Crow - Dry embossing is one of my favourite techniques! I love how it can change the look of plain paper in so many ways!

Yes...I am working on Christmas cards for this coming Christmas!!

Happy Superbowl Sunday Everyone!  I'm not a big Superbowl fan, but I hope that those of you who do watch, enjoy it, and those of you who don't---well there's always crafting! (I might watch snippets for the commercials....can't believe I just said that..LOL)

Thank you for playing along in my LOVEly challenge this week.  As always such great projects you have been working on ~!

Here are some highlights for you

I was really taken with the steampunk heart's unique look!

This decoupaged box of hearts was a great way to upcycle some napkins!

I really liked the use of the paws around this card!

#209 - Inspired by a Love Song

Hello everyone!  Are you ready for this week's challenge...we want you to be inspired by a song..not just any song though...with February and Valentine's Day upon us, we want you to be inspired by a  LOVE SONG!
From the heart and from the soul, show us your love song inspired projects!

Here is what the Design Team has for you this week to get you started......

For this weeks challenge I took my inspiration from an Australian band called "Secret Garden" and their song "To the Moon & Back" in creating both my title for this layout as well as sentiment towards our gorgeous "adopted" Nan & Pop whom we all love "to the moon and back"!

Karrie
I chose Madonna's 1985 song Crazy For You to title my page.

Lori
I, too, was inspired by Madonna's Crazy For You song to make a Valentine's Day card.

Tammy
I was inspired by the Bette Midler song Baby Mine.  I think that the love a mother has for her child is one of the greatest in the world...my son is my everything..it felt like I waited for him forever, but I just had to wait until the time was right to accept all that love!
