Challenge #199 Use Leftover Letter Stickers

Hi Friends!
This weeks challenge is to pull out a pack or two or even three of those leftover letter stickers, be they chipboard, foam or even flat letters, get them out and get them used up.
Here are few examples of a previous card and several layouts I created using those leftover letters...

Julia

I made several cards with the leftovers of at least 3 different packs of chipboard letters and finished up all 3 of those packs...plus I was able to use several of the wood veneer type writers that are nearly impossible to get used up!

I had these big letters leftover from a package, they were originally red, I painted them green and bordered them with yellow to match the letters on the background piece at the bottom of the photos. I then just layered them up as an embellishment...simple and it used them up!!

These started out as either raw, black or white chipboard. I painted them all with the same black paint and then covered that with black stickles for the glitter effect. They started out random but the paint and glitter effect brought them together to look a little more cohesive!

Finally I took five different sets of letters to create this background! Some of the letters that you just see a little of aren't really the letters that you may think they are... just a little creativity and you think you know what the next letter is!

MAJO

I used some foam to cut letters with the new Tim Holtz Thinlits *ABC123* for my CAS Card

I used a Little Letters Thinlits from Stampin Up and behind of this I pasted fun foam. I decided to create a non traditional colors Christmas Card.

Amanda

I always have a ton of z's left over! Finally found something to put them to use on!

So let's see what you can come up with this week! Make sure to leave your link so we can be inspired by your creations!!

Challenge #198 - Use Old Stash!

My turn!  So many new pretty scrappy things are released all the time to tempt us,
but I want to see some OLD stash you forgot about, or
have been hoarding or saving because it's too pretty to use!
Or maybe it's not pretty enough to use?
Well~ dig it out and use it up anyway!
(What better way to make room for new goodies???)

Karrie
One of my favourite tricks to use up old stash is do some new techniques
and put it together with vintage photos.
My background paper is MME from 2007.  "Bohemian" and the "29th St Market"
lines had super thick cardstock that is perfect for doing mixed media on!

Shirley

I agree Karrie!  I had no trouble at all finding lots of scraps of patterned paper & buttons to create the layout below.

I have a ton of old stash that I have been trying to work through! I can't get rid of any of it, because I just may need it one day... Right?! The papers on this card are from a company that is no longer in business and the copyright says 2006. I have hoarded this piece of reindeer paper since then, because it was just too cute to use up!

Challenge #197 Highlights

Hello friends!

Thanks to everyone who played along with last weeks die cut challenge! We had so many crafters who shared their work using their beautiful stash! It was an extremely difficult job to limit the field to just 3 highlights, there were 63 projects to choose from!! I went through and chose a card (really 2), a tag, and a layout. I've linked each of the artist to their blogs so head over so you can ohh and ahh over there creations and leave them some blog love!!

It's Halloween!

I made this page with this awesome recipe for Halloween.
Maybe I will make them next year for our big 20th Halloweeniversary bash
(Pic and recipe found on this defunct blog: http://justjennylynne.blogspot.ca)

I made this kit using the Day of the Dead paper collection from Moxxie. It is perfect for candies or little treats.

I created an ATB with a lot of Sizzix Dies and Tim Holtz stamps. The background is painted with distress inks.

... just to show you all 4 sides of the cube ...

Amanda

Here is a Halloween page I am finally scrapping from 2011 of my best friend's daughter!

Challenge #197 - Die Cuts and/or Punches

Hello everyone!!! Die Cuts and/or Punches are the theme for our challenge. You can use these alone or combined in any way for your creation. Here is our inspiration...

Martha Lucia, I combined two different die cuts. The branches are called Bamboo Sticks and the White Die Cut is Spring Window. both from DieNamites. I used distress ink to create the sunset behind of the window and whisper white cardstock for the layers of card.

Majo

I used the new Sizzix dies for my card. I added some lace, a metal snowflake and a sentiment from Waltzing Mouse Stamps.

I used my spellbinders dies to cut out some of the leaves that I had stamped on a scrap piece of paper and the scalloped piece on the lower left corner.

Renee

Amanda

I used my Creative Memories border punch for the top and bottom borders on this layout.
