Challenge # 196 Thankful

Hello everyone!  Tammy here with my first challenge of the fall.  My theme this week is Thankful!
It could be something or someone you are thankful for, or it could be the colors for the season of thanks - autumn ...there are lots of possibilities.  Our DT has created some wonderful inspiration for you this week and we cannot wait to see what you come up with.

I received the Stampin Up paper pumpking set for September but I didn't really like the actual project so I decided to play with it a little bit for some cards~!

For me I had so many thoughts on what being "Thankful" could relate to.  I decided for this challenge I would pick something tangible that I love and am always thankful for and that is the inspiration that nature provides at this time of year.

Amanda

So thankful for this beautiful baby girl!

Highlights Challenge #194

Hello Everyone

Firstly a huge thank you to the four lovely ladies who took part in my sketch challenge.  I feel I should apologise to all our followers but as obviously my sketch didn't appeal to many of you. As there were only four entries I am going to choose all you lovely ladies as winners this week.  I loved each and every card for so many different reasons and I couldn't help but love the one layout submitted as well... how cute was that little elephant?  Listly in no particular order ladies :)

Firstly Julene By Design thank you for your beautiful card, so bright and bold - simply stunning!

Next for submitting this bright & cheery piece of art work -  Ma-mi.  I love the simplicity and how symmetrically it all comes together!

Lastly this beautiful oriental card submitted by Onions and Paper.  Love the embossing and those pretty gold butterflies.

And last not but least is this gorgeous layout submitted by Kim's Scrapbooking Addiction. It is just so seriously cute how can you not love it?  I especially love the little elephant embellie Kim created!

Thank you all again...

Hugs

Shirl

Challenge #195 Use Ribbon on your Project

Hi everyone! Amanda here with this week's challenge! Since washi tape has
become so popular I definitely have neglected my stash of ribbon!
This week I want you to dig out your ribbon and use it on a project!

I used ribbon above and below my photo and also for the bows.

This is Majo's tag. She used Rubber Dance Stamps for the background and also the image and word from the same *Da Vinci* set. A black ribbon rounded it up :)

Martha Lucia,  used burlap ribbon and adorned it with some die cuts and flowers from DieNamites. Her tag  was made using Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Arabesque Background Stencil and Stencil Gel from Rebecca Baer Inc.

Loved this velvet scalloped ribbon, bought in almost every colour - hardly used.
Pairs great with washi though!

I know it may be hard to see it but I used orange ribbon along the orange leaf paper.

Renee

I used some of the insane amount of twine ribbon that I have as an accent for my fall lip balm pumpkin holder.

Show us what you've created!

Challenge #194 - Sketch

Hi Everyone

Shirley here today with a new challenge for you all.  My challenge for this week is a sweet little
"sketch" that I stumbled across.  I love the simplistic design and thought it would work well for either cards or layouts not to mention so many other projects as well.

I intended on making a card but this layout came together instead :

Now let's see what other gorgeous creations we have this week to inspire you all :

Amanda

Thanks so much for taking part in my challenge.  Please be sure to link up your entries below.  Happy Crafting!

Hugs

Shirley

Highlights-Challenge #193 Inks/Markers

Thank you so much to all who played along last week.  Your artwork really blew me away.  It was terribly hard to pick just three highlights from the week, but I finally narrowed it down to these choices.

#7 Pat K- I really loved the innovative way of using inks to dye her cheesecloth to use as an accent as well as the excellent coloring of the Crazy Birds stamp.

#16 MaxiBelle Studios-  I really loved the awesome hair flicking technique on a beautifully colored stamped image.  The masculine card design is fantastic too.

#29 Scrapping Around the Clock- I love the ink blots on the scrapbook page.  Always adds so much to a layout.

Don't forget to grab your "I was featured" button on the right hand side bar.

Thanks again to everyone who played along with my challenge! I can't wait to see what you create next week!

Challenge #193-Markers/Inks

Markers, inks and other colorants are all the rage right now.  With the coloring book craze we are all buying up all kinds of colorants.  This challenge is to use those markers and inks on a project.

Here is a sampling of inspiration from our design team.  It's your turn now.  Let's see what you can come up with using markers and inks.

Renee

For my project, I used both markers to color my image and inks to do a watercolor wash background. This was my first time watercoloring with Distress Inks, and I am quite pleased with the background.

Majo

I created this ATC with different colours of Distress Ink.

..... and the for some reason I thought my birdie was way too large for an ATC, so I mounted the whole thing onto a card ;)

Julia

Not tons of inks, but inks none the less! I love using stamps on my layouts and this was the perfect challenge to pull out the stamps and the inks the challenge required.

Amanda

It's my little man's 3rd birthday tomorrow so instead of scrapping pages I have been using my scrap supplies to create party decorations. We did a construction theme this year so this is the card I made for him. I stamped the sentiment and used distress inks around the block.

I'd never forget you! In my card I used distress Ink to create the background of the shaker and copic markers to coloring the owls. Classic Ink to stamp the sentiment and I can't image my life with our inks...
