June 22 - Wood

My Turn!
I have chosen wood - it's so fun to play with, adds great dimension and comes in adorable shapes!
It also makes a great base for  -or addition to-   off the page projects.
My LO features my hubby and I relaxing on a beach, with a wood title
(dollar store score - a package of 42 large travel pieces and titles!)
and little spilling wood hearts by Studio Calico.
Show us how you use it!

The other DT members did it like this:

I created a card with a Dinosaur theme using the wood as background. "The Pteradactyl and T-Relax" my vampire and dino are from So Suzy Stamps. The Background, die cuts and sentiment are from Stampin Up.

Wood veneer pieces are one of my favorite embellishments to add to any project.

Challenge #188 - Colour Me Happy

Hello Everyone

Shirley here this week with a very simple challenge for you all "Colour Me Happy".  So let your imagination run wild and create a card, layout or anything you please using my theme.  Pick your favourite colours that make you happy, use your fave colour combo's or think outside the box - inspire us all.

For my layout this week I created a background for a b&w photo of my middle DS.  The best thing about b&w is not only do the photos look stunning but you can use any colour or combinations of colours that your heart desires.  I firstly coated my cs with gesso before adding gelatos.

I used a tag and inked it up with Ranger Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade, Scattered Straw, Wild Honey and Broken China. I also used these colors on the Crazy Birds.

For more texture on the background I worked with the Alphabet stencil designed by Tim Holtz with Ranger Distress ink Walnut stain.

I added some googly eyes, a tiny hart and a sentiment from the Dylusions Set "The right words"!

Amanda

Fall colors are my favorite color combination - there is something about them that I find so relaxing!

Challenge #187 Sentiment

Hi everyone, this is Martha Lucia  and it's my turn for our weekly Challenge and I have chosen Sentiments. It's very simple, you have to create your project using any kind of sentiment. You can stamp it, die cut it, paint it or write it. As I always say, the possibilities are endless. Just tell us what you use and add the direct link to your post.  Let's see all the creations of the Design Team made just for you...

I created my card using a beautiful stamp from So Suzy Stamps called Palm Tree. I used the embossing and watercolor technique with this stamp. My sentiments are from the stamp set Super Scrip from Altenew and I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I made this tag with a Prima flower package, cutout from an Authentique sheet and scraps.
Red plastic moon and dots were part of a Christmas garland.

Lori
This is my favorite birthday stamp right now. I just love that big and bold sentiment!

Challenge #186 Stripes & Dots

Hello everyone! The first day of June is here!  The start of summer I always thought.  We have a fun challenge for you this week, and for those that have issues mixing patterns, this might be even more challenging than usual :)  This week we are mixing dots and stripes....put them together and see what you can come up with! :)  Our DT has some fabulous examples for you to get you started.  Take it from there and let your imagination run wild.................
Majo

For the background I used the Stripes from Darkroom Door stamps and the "lovely" girl from Dyan Raevely as well as the sentiment. The butterflies are a Sizzix die designed by Tim Holtz. The black spritzers and the stamp adds some texture to the background.

My card this week reminds me of the lovely autumn weather I see each day!
I used an embossing "dots" folder & striped patterned paper on my card.

Amanda

I used up some scraps of patterned paper for this layout - some stripes and just a few pieces with dots!

Challenge #185 Flowers

They say that April showers bring May flowers.  Since April was so rainy, there are tons of flowers here to provide inspiration.  My challenge to you is to use flowers on a project.  Whether you use flowers as an embellishment, use floral patterned paper or try the craze of rolled paper flowers, just make sure that you have flowers on your project.

For this challenge, I have created a card with a die cut floral border.  Let's see what you can come up with!

I love clustering paper flowers from Prima and Petaloo.

Stamped flowers and a little flower emblishment
