Challenge #179 - Paper Strips

Hello everyone! Lori here and I am excited to be hosting my first challenge here on the blog this week!

My challenge for you is to use paper strips on your project. Thin strips or thick strips, a lot of strips or just a few - it's up to you.  We all have lots of paper scraps laying around just begging to be used, so let's put those scraps to use on our projects!

Lori
I stacked my paper strips to create a sort of mat for my photo to sit on.

Michelle Looi - Tim Holtz paper collection  which I can't bear to part with them, and I made a Christmas card

This challenge was perfect as I recently cleaned out my scrap paper bin.
I found all these strips/borders/cutoffs, so used them to create this background
for a page about DGS's 1st school pic.

This challenge allowed me to use up some scraps from a recent kit that I put together.
I used a sketch, like I usually do, as a starting point.

Martha Lucia
For this Challenge I created a card with paper strips of Black and White Designer Paper from Ki Paper Pad and some embellishments that I made using Makin's Clay in two different tones. A CAS model that I love!

Renee

For this challenge, I used several bright strips to make a background patterned paper to highlight the bright colors that I used in my coloring.

Amanda

I love using up scraps so this challenge was perfect!

Challenge #178 - Stickers

Hi everyone! Amanda here with this week's challenge. This week I want to see your STICKERS! We all have them laying around and I know in my scraproom they often get pushed aside for die cuts or stamps. Show us your sticker stash! Here is my example - the stars, word stickers and lion are all stickers.

Michelle Looi - Here's a little notecard with some alphas/number stickers

I created a tag using Ranger Distress Ink in 3 colours: Pine Needles, Wild Honey and Brushed Corduroy, spritzed&flicked with water and stamped a background with a "Netting" stamp. I added a sticker from PSX Design and added embellishments from my stash. The sentiment is from an unknown (to me) manufacturer!

A while back, I went crazy buying up all the MME label and 5x7 sticker sheets,
so I went crazy using them up here!

Challenge #177 - Create your own background

Hi everyone, this is Martha Lucia  and i'ts my turn for our weekly Challenge and I have chosen background. Very simple, you have to create your own background using whatever you want, stamps, embossing folders, distress ink, embossing paste, metal sheets or stencils. The possibilities are endless.

Just tell us what you use and add the directly link to your post.  Let's see all the creations of the Design Team made just for you...

Martha Lucia - Background created with Metal Sheet and Stencil, using emboss technique.

Michelle Looi - Background created with Dylusions with a stencil, and a little watered down effect

Karrie - It was fun to just play with this!   I layered papers, gesso, mist, texture paste and
stencil work, lots of stamping, an old dictionary page, some netting.

Amanda - To create my background I used some green glimmer mist and a 12x12 stencil.

Lori - To create my background I randomly stamped circles in two different colors.

Fanny- I make my background with a masking tape

Renee: I made a masked and misted card base, as well as used a background stamp to make a background image on my doll,
